Want to be one of the characters of the popular video game Super Mario Bros., but don’t want to look like everyone else? Then why not try wearing a Toad Costume this Halloween. Just in case you didn’t know, Toad is Princess Peach’s attendant and a long time protector of the Mushroom Kingdom.
The Toad Costume is a very simple but unique outfit. It includes a red polka dotted mushroom headpiece and Toad’s signature royal blue vest. You will need to add a flesh tone or tan colored shirt, a pair of white pants and a pair of white loafers or sneakers to complete the look.
As Toad, your job is to attend to Princess Peach and serve as Mario’s sidekick. Despite being reliant on Mario and the other heroes during times of disaster, Toad has made his own fair share of heroic acts such as in his starring role in Wario’s Woods where he saves the Mushroom Kingdom from Wario’s antagonistic rule.
You should also be aware though, that like Princess Peach, Toad tends to get captured a lot by Bowser. He has to rely upon Mario and Luigi to rescue him and, when they do, his standard line is “Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle!”
Although he may be reliant on Mario and the other heroes in times of trouble, he is still an important character. He also has his share of the limelight when he saves the Mushroom Kingdom from Wario’s evil rule in Wario’s Woods.
So, if you are a Super Mario Bros. fan and looking for a different spin on costumes this year, the Toad costume may be just what you are looking for. He’s loyal, cute and more often than not hangs with the good guys.
